Mike Alpert is List Host and one of the founders of the STDP-list.
Michael Alpert, M.D. is the Director of the STDP
Institute. The Institute
has branches in New York City and New Jersey.
Dr. Alpert became interested in brief therapy in
the late 70's and trained with Habib Davanloo for
three years to learn ISTDP before becoming the
Director of Training for the New Jersey ISTDP Institute.
His interest in increasing in increasing the applicability, efficiency
and effectiveness of brief therapies led to the evolution of Accelerated
Empathic Therapy from ISTDP.
